Lighthouse - Peacing It All Together (1970 Victor)
It is amazing that there are 14 musicians on the band and they are competing who is the best to stay on the background. Nice light jazz flavoured poprock from the house anyway. Something to do with Paupers?
Tommy James - Christian Of The World (1971 Roulette)
Donno what this all really is about... picked this for 5 euros. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4U0ekNXtIg&feature=related
The Grass Roots (1969 to 1975)
The Grass Roots were on sale, five eggs for each. Maybe most of you don't, but i do find TGR a harmlessly good band. A quiz... Which of these cover arts is designed by a Zappa Overnite and elsewhere artist Cal Schenkel?
The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation - Doctor Dunbar's Prescription (1969 Blue Thumb)
I'm not any big blues digger but this kind of organ driven pale and easy going one is okay. And of course i remember Aynsley as the drummer on some Zappa albums. Cover photos are by Hipgnosis.
Road - S/T (1972 Natural Resources)
Fuzzy wahwah, semi-heavy, hippy and trippy psych album. Excellent! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXR1o6s9UY4&feature=related
Andrew Leigh - Magician (1970 Sire London)
Individual music. A bit prog, a bit rural, a bit psychedelic, a bit jammy sax, a bit Windy Baker Street... a bit blues. Extended band with tambourine, sax, flute, oboe and hand clapping for ex. A very good album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQcYVIllMvQ&feature=related
Linda Cohen - Leda (1972 Poppy)
A bit baroque style instrumental album. Sophisticated and sensitive on an authentic way. Very workable relaxing late evening music. A natural sleeping pill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg4RULtZAiU

The Incredible String Band - Changing Horses (1969 Elektra)
I purchased this one on a whim. The whole thing sounds like the famous four had a picnic in their hundred acre apple orchard, lost their way and have had to stay there a fortnight. All the cookies and cake were eaten and ginger ale drunk many days ago. I wonder if they ever survived and escaped. Maybe their bones and a cassette recorder were found next spring. Their fellow countryman Steve Ashley is much better... Stroll On... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOdy3B85U6Y

Sunday Funnies - S/T (1971 Rare Earth)
A very good but for some reason underrated groovy hard(pop)prog album. The best track "It's Just A Dream" is classy, classic and catchy. Functional ensemble. Nice organ sound. I like this kind of music, authentic and not too "produced".

Mobius - S/T (1969 Capitol)
A big positive surprise this album full of clever popsike. Can't find any samples from this album so here comes Dunn - McCashen song Hitchcock Railway performed by Joe Cocker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQSj9HgvElw&feature=related and Lydia Purple performed by The Collectors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZQPgSnCAaE

Cressida - Asylum (1971 Vertigo this re 2002 by Akarma)
Excellent classic style of British progressive. What would be greater than writing a song to the late local Post Office Tower. And what happened in Munich? Seriously... this album belongs with no doubt to the same heavy weight English prog class as Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Pink Floyd and so on. I really don't find anything negative to say about this shamefully ignored and underrated progressive rock masterpiece. Album design by Keef. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj5vDqqDJQk
Spring - S/T (Orig. 1971 Neon this re 2002 by Akarma)
This has to be one of the best easy listening but serious at the same time progressive rock albums ever. So sensitive and sophisticated, but thanks to god or who or what ever, they mostly manage to avoid mellotron overdose and crossing the yuk line. In some way this is almost ingenious music... they must have been very aware of what they were doing or they were not aware of it at all. Both options may lead to the same satisfying result. Nice album! One of the nicest syrup soft white chocolate prog albums! Charming triple? mellotron sound! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0jtJiaUyjY
